Finally being big and strong – how great we imagined adulthood as children! But what does it mean to be big and strong?

Identity and self-confidence are at the heart of fragility. What does it mean to get older? What do we do as a child, but not as an adult? What connects the different generations?

At the beginning of each work of Clébio Oliveira are extensive research and expert surveys. For fragil he initially worked together with the entire ensemble of the Theater o.N.. The dancers and artists aged 20 to 70 provided a basis for the exchange of experiences between the generations.

An important realization of the work on fragile is that fragility does not have to be thought of as an antithesis to stability. In many areas of life, we are only strong when we become vulnerable." -Choreographer Clébio Oliveira

fragil was commissioned by Theater o.N., produced by Offensive Tanz für junges Publikum Berlin, funded by TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund and Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Cohesion (Cofinancing Fund).
