Dance piece

On the Forces, ready, go!

Isabelle Schad, Manuel Lindner & Theater o.N.

Premiere: Spring 2027

A dance piece by Isabelle Schad and Manuel Lindner

The Forces, Ready, Go! is a fun, cunning, magical-physical confrontation with the light and the heavy – with everything we carry and drag, fall or let fly.

Based on the question of which forces move us and which own forces we use to move something, Isabelle and Manuel explore gravity. When do we give up a force, when do we accept it? Is there a moment when you don't know if you're wearing or being worn?

Isabelle's dance and aikido practice as well as Manuel's circus arts set the direction: We move along the vertical axis. We explore up and down, bring things up, hang them up, bring them down again. A game with the heaviness. Is something heavy always difficult, or can it become very easy – or can something light become very difficult? And what does that do to us?

With small, inconspicuous instruments, we strengthen our breath and find a universal, non-language-bound form of communication, with each other and with the audience. What does a force sound like when you make it audible?
